The U.S. Army new nano-satellites: The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command received the first batch of new nano-satellites on the 28th of April. The SMDC-ONE satellites each weigh less than 10 pounds and are about 10×10x32 centimeters or approximately 4×4x13 inches in size. The SABRE™ 1 is highly flexible, which provides simultaneous voice and broadband data. It is easy to use, and coverage is provided anywhere within the BGAN coverage map. Applications include remote high-speed access to your corporate network, as well as company and customer information. You can send e-mails via the Internet or e-mail applications, with access speeds for the Internet up to 384kbps.
