16 July date set for launch of new satellite phone services: The date for the launch of Inmarsat's new suite of satellite phone services has been set for 16 July, 2007, it was announced at the CommunicAsia 2007 exhibition and conference in Singapore. The new service portfolio includes handheld, fixed and maritime satellite phones - branded IsatPhone, LandPhone and FleetPhone respectively. IsatPhone and LandPhone will be available from eight Inmarsat distribution partners - ACeS, Chinasat, Evosat, Fono, MCN, MVS, Satcom Global and Stratos - immediately at launch.
